Writing Tips
A good abstract is short but impactful, so make sure every word counts. Each sentence/paragraph should clearly communicate one main point.
Four relevant things you are encouraged to highlight are:
Your research problem and objectives
Your materials/case study description and methods
Your key results or arguments
Your conclusion and suggestions on how to translate research result/case study into planning policies and tools
The purpose of the abstract is to stress the original contributions of your research and novelty, so avoid discussion of others’ work.
Please note that a good abstract can be understood by someone without prior knowledge of the topic.
Writing an effective abstract will improve the chances of your submission being accepted, encourage delegates to attend your presentation and increase the impact of your work!
Proposals Selection
The evaluation of the abstracts will be done by anonymous members of SSPCR 2025 Scientific Committee.
The abstracts will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
Potential interest to conference audience
Novelty of the research / project / topic
Appropriateness of methodology
Final suggestions on how to translate research findings / demo cases into planning policies and tools
Within the evaluation process, the Scientific Committee may change the thematic track of the abstract and invite the author(s) to present it in a different form (e.g. poster instead of oral presentation). You will be informed on the result of the evaluation process via e-mail by early September.
Once the abstract is uploaded, it cannot be modified. Only submitters will be able to view, download, and check the submission status of their abstract.
Account credentials will be sent via email upon submission of the abstract. Please note that the submission must be completed in order for the system to automatically generate an account. The credentials will be included in the submission confirmation email and therefore will not be available prior to submission.
Please note that a full paper submission is not requested to present at SSPCR 2025.
Conference Programme
At least one author per each accepted abstract is required to register, attend the conference and pay the corresponding fee in order to ensure their work is included in the SSPCR 2025 program.
Only presenters that have completed the registration process will be included in the programme. Please note that the programme is continuously updated. We suggest to check the conference webpage frequently.
