7 - Data and AI-Powered Territories: City Intelligence for Urban Planning and Management

Generative AI is transforming the way we work, create, and solve complex challenges. In urban planning and management, this opens new possibilities for enhancing decision-making, optimizing resource allocation, and fostering more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive cities. AI-driven models allow urban planners, architects, and decision-makers to tackle critical challenges, from optimizing land use and infrastructure design to enhancing participatory governance and climate resilience strategies.

This track explores how generative AI is shaping the future of cities. We welcome contributions that propose innovative applications of generative AI in urban analysis, synthetic data generation, scenario modeling, or governance processes. Additionally, we seek discussions on the ethical implications, biases, and challenges associated with the deployment of generative AI in urban contexts.

We are particularly interested in contributions focused on:

Innovative aspects

  • AI-Driven Urban Design & Scenario Modeling: Generative AI for automated urban planning, infrastructure optimization, and climate-resilient city design.

  • Synthetic Data & AI-Powered Decision Support: AI-generated datasets for urban analytics, predictive modeling, and dynamic simulations.

  • Ethics, Transparency & Participatory AI: Addressing bias, ensuring fairness in AI-driven urban solutions, and enhancing citizen engagement in smart city governance.

  • Interdisciplinary AI for Sustainable Cities: Integrating AI with urban resilience, mobility, energy, and environmental sustainability.
