Silvia Tomasi has a background in environmental economics and political science. She is currently conducting a Ph.D. jointly at the Institute for Renewable Energy, Eurac Research, and at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano, where she investigates the impacts of energy policies and new governance approaches for a more just energy transition, e.g. energy prosumers and other forms of social innovation and active participation of civil society in shaping the future energy systems. She has experience in coordinating international case study research, liaising with both public and private stakeholders and civil society, and conducting cross-comparative research. At Eurac Research, she is working on several European projects, including H2020 JUSTNature, JPI-Climate ROLES, H2020 STARDUST, and H2020 EnerMaps.
