Session
Integrated PV in the Built Environment for a Just and Inclusive Energy Transition
The event focuses on the integration of photovoltaic (PV) technology within the built environment, specifically targeting Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) and Agrivoltaics.
The aim is to explore the value chain and stakeholders engagement necessary for the evolution and implementation of BIPV and Agri-PV solutions, both essential to reach the National PNIEC (National Plan Energy Climate) target of PV installations until 2030 and beyond.
The event will include presentations from different perspectives: stakeholders of the value chain of IPV (integrated photovoltaic) and researchers, industries and practitioners focusing on technology development as well as on social and landscape impacts of the technology itself.
A visit to the outdoor PV integration Lab of Eurac Research will be offered to demonstrate real-world applications of the discussed technologies, showcasing prototypes of National and European Projects, such as Horizon MC2.0 and Horizon SYMBIOSYST.
Following there will be participatory discussion of how IPV can be designed and implemented in ways that promote socially just and inclusive energy transitions. The event will support cross-sectoral learning and help identify knowledge gaps, promising practices, and policy recommendations for ensuring that agrivoltaic systems contribute not only to decarbonization goals, but also to just socio-ecological transformations.
