SSPCR 2022 Conference in Bolzano
The SSPCR 2022 conference was held in July 2022, in Bolzano, Italy, after a 3-year break due to the Covid pandemic.
This edition of the conference focused on the interconnected energy, climate and health crises and their impact on the urban and regional systems. A strong focus was placed on issues of dimensions, size and scale, investigating whether the dimension of the climate-neutral city at its spatial, economic and social scale is still compatible with smart and sustainable planning and how it can interact with the scales of community (energy) and district (energy positive).

Topics included
how to promote a local dimension of energy self-consumption
the concepts of multiple benefits and co-benefits related to both energy transition, climate change and socio-ecological transformation
integrations between active and passive technology, between the artificial and the natural
Nature Based Solutions to improve the conditions of social inclusion in cities
the concept of climate justice and solutions that reduce the social gap between population groups.
