Participant of interdisciplinary research in the field of marine biology and underwater archaeology. Co-author of experimental concepts for counteracting climate change using nature-based solutions for climate-resistant buildings and cities. Author of the habilitation monograph "The process of shaping relationships with nature in contemporary architecture" awarded by the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Expert of the European Commission since 2014. Co-author of assessment methodology for interim and ex-post evaluations of the Horizon 2020 program. Co-author of the Horizon Europe and New European Bauhaus NEXUS report.
Member of scientific organizations working to improve the accessibility, comfort, resilience and safety of the built environment, including Polish Academy of Sciences (History of Architecture and Monument Protection Section of the Commission for Architecture and Urban Planning in Wrocław) PLEA 2024 Director (Sustainable Architecture and Urban Planning, co-founder of the RoSE Center (Research Center for Sustainable Built Environment) at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Honorary speaker at the New European Bauhaus Festival in Brussels organized by the European Commission in 2022.
