Sara Torabi Moghadam

Sara Torabi Moghadam is an Associate Professor at the Politecnico di Torino (POLITO), Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering (DIST), specializing in Sustainable, Digital, Inclusive and Green Cities. She coordinates and participates in several national and European research projects, including GREEN-INC-DUT, SCORE-H2020, MOLOC-INTERREG EUROPE, and CESABMED-INTERREG MED.
Throughout her career, Prof. Torabi Moghadam has actively supported both public administrations and private sector organizations in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
She was awarded a Meriton Fellowship at Western Sydney University (WSU). Her research focuses on co-design approaches to sustainable and circular urban planning, the socio-economic impacts of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), impact assessment using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and participatory evaluation methods. She has specialized expertise in Multi-Criteria Spatial Decision Support Systems (MC-SDSS), which support stakeholder engagement and facilitate participatory decision-making processes. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed international publications and regularly serves as a speaker and session organizer at leading international conferences.
