Jan Peters-Anders is employed as research engineer at the Center for Energy, Digital Resilient Cities Research Division of the Austrian Institute of Technology - AIT (Vienna, Austria). He is coordinator of the Horizon Europe project GREENGAGE (2023-2025) which deals with the implementation of Citizen Observatories, inducing policy changes to reach the goals of the Green Deal of the European Commission.

Being an expert in GIS based urban data management, his research focuses on researching energy related topics, including tackling climate change mitigation and adaptation in urban neighbourhoods as well as the establishment of Positive Energy Districts (PEDs).
