Environmental Geographer
Salvatore Eugenio Pappalardo is an Assistant Professor in Geography and GIScience at the University of Padua, where he is also the Vice-Director of the Advanced Master in GIScience and Unmanned Aerial Systems. Holding two PhDs (in Human and Physical Geography, and Crop Science), his research focuses on GIScience applications for climate justice, urban microclimates, urban resilience, and participatory mapping. He coordinates multiple research projects and teaches climate adaptation, geovisualization, and remote sensing in Italy and Ecuador. He has published extensively on climate risks, urban heat islands, and environmental justice, particularly in the Amazon and urban Italian contexts.
