Diego López-de-Ipiña González-de-Artaza

Prof. Diego López-de-Ipiña González-de-Artaza is a Full Professor at the University of Deusto’s Faculty of Engineering and leads the “MORElab – ICT for Good” research group. He holds three recognised research periods and one transfer period. He received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2002. His work focuses on ubiquitous computing, IoT, Semantic Web, natural interaction, and hybrid human–machine intelligence. He has supervised 22 PhD theses and over 100 student projects, and has participated—often as Deusto’s principal investigator—in numerous European and national research projects related to smart cities, sustainable computing, open government, and assisted living. He has published over 300 scientific works, including more than 200 indexed in Web of Knowledge and DBLP. He teaches “Software Process & Quality”, “Advanced Web Data Engineering”, and “Cloud Computing”, and is a corresponding member of Jakiunde, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Basque Country.
