Dr Kamran Soomro is an Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence at UWE Bristol, with over a decade of experience bridging the gap between Data Science and Urban Informatics, leveraging Generative AI and Digital Twins to solve complex societal challenges.

Dr Soomro has extensive international research experience, contributing to major EU-funded initiatives including the HEU GREENGAGE, H2020 Smarticipate, and CURE projects. He combines this with deep industrial engagement, having worked as a Data Scientist with the NHS and led machine learning Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) alongside his academic tenure. He is an active member of the EPSRC Peer Review College.
