Marta Bottero is Full Professor of Project Appraisal and Planning Evaluation at the Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning of Politecnico di Torino (Italy). She holds a degree in Environmental and Land Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (2000) and a PhD in Environmental Geo-Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (2004). She teaches and conducts research on sustainability assessment of urban and territorial transformation projects using various methods and tools. She has coordinated national and European research programs, and she has collaborated with several Public Administrations on the evaluation of projects, plans, and programs. She is author of numerous publications at Italian and international level and is a member of various scientific societies such as the Italian Real Estate Appraisal and Investment Decision Society (SIEV) and the European research group EURO Working Group Multicriteria Decision Aiding.
