Ilaria Beretta is Associate Professor of Environmental and Urban Sociology at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Brescia. She is a member of the Management Board and Coordinator of the Research Area at the university’s Postgraduate School for Environmental Studies (Alta Scuola per l’Ambiente). She also directs the first-level Master's programme Climate Risk and Environmental Governance. Adaptation and Education for Integral Ecology. Her main research focus is on urban environmental sustainability policies, with particular attention to their socio-economic impacts.
